Team Sauber will Feed the Hungry in 2011
18,000 Children die each day of starvation or starvation related causes. Founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a non-profit, Christian organization committed to feeding starving children hungry in body and spirit. In 2010 FMSC produced 130 million meals with the help of more than 416,000 volunteers. Working with food scientists, FMSC developed MannaPack Rice which contains over twenty vitamins and minerals. Providing protein from extruded soy nuggets, these meals are inexpensive, easy to transport, contain no filler and are prepared simply by boiling water. They provide everything a child needs to thrive, not just survive. This November 17th-20th, Make a Difference 2K11's goal was to pack 720,000 meals with the financial and physical help of local residents and organizations--like Sauber Mfg. Co. By working together we can make a difference. For each family unit that signs up to help pack, Smc will cut a $240 check to FMSC with your family's name on it; providing funding to feed 1000 children. Additionally, FMSC would welcome your donation to help purchase the ingredients, but that isn't required. Our hard work for the company has already made our financial gift possible. For just $0.24/day we can save and re-purpose a human life!
